Monterey County is using a new platform for its emergency notifications.  The Alert Monterey County system covers the entire county and all municipalities.  Once you register you can choose the address you want to monitor to keep track of threats near your home.  If you are already receiving Monterey County alerts on the previous platform, your preferences are already in the new system.

DMFPO members and friends from nearby communities gather  together once a month to pull weeds in the forest and work on the maintenance of the Del Monte Forest’s extensive trail system. This Weed Warrior group is organized by Weed Nut and DMFPO Member Katie Spitz. New volunteers are always welcome in the group.  If you would like more information or would like to join this group, please contact the DMFPO office at (831) 373-1618.
