Brenda Anderson
- Member of the Board of Directors
Brenda, and her husband Dick, moved to the Forest in 2003. She has a background as a high school English teacher, Interior Designer, and previous owner of an Antiques/Interior Design shop in Menlo Park, CA. Brenda and Dick raised their 3 children on the San Francisco Peninsula, where they lived from 1974-1997. After a stint in Ohio, North Carolina, and Chicago, they returned to CA and settled in Pebble Beach. Brenda's greatest satisfaction has come from starting the Monterey Peninsula Newcomers Club in 2004, which now consists of 80 members! She has also served on the Board of AAUW as Secretary and Treasurer, and volunteers weekly at the Cancer Society's Discovery Shop.
Presently, Brenda is enjoying finding buyers their dream home in Pebble Beach and Carmel, where she works as a real estate agent. Dick, who works at Spyglass Hill Golf Course, and Brenda have found the perfect semi-retirement place! Her purpose in serving as a Director is to be involved in the decision making process in order to help maintain the wonderful quality of life here in the Forest. She is committed to listening to resident's ideas and taking those ideas back to the Board.

Richard Cassam

My wife and I became permanent residents of Pebble Beach in mid 2006. I was born, raised and educated in the East coast, receiving degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (BEE), and Cornell University (MS).
After active duty as an officer in the US Air Force, I attended Stanford University in the Electrical Engineering PhD program. My career field is in high technology computing systems having directed technical and
marketing organizations within GTE Systems, Sprint, Tandem Computers, Compaq Computers, Hewlett Packard and Apple.
I feel strongly about contributing to the preservation and enhancement of this unique community of quiet neighborhoods, natural forest, coastal habitat, and high-quality visitor serving facilities.

Julie Conners
- Member of the Board of Directors

Julie Conners is a long time Pebble Beach resident. She graduated form Stevenson and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from San Francisco State University. After college she moved back to Pebble Beach where she lives with her husband and 5 year old triplets. Julie, a certified Geriatric Care Manager, joined the family business nearly ten years ago, starting as a case manager in the home health care agency and working her way up to Director of Operations for the Victorian Residential Care Homes.
Julie has been a member of the DMFPO Traffic and Safety Committee for the last 2 years, is Recording Secretary for Carmel Republican Women Federated, is an active member of the Junior League of Monterey County currently chairing both the "Junior League Presents" committee and the "Crab Feed" committee, and is a member of Carmel-by-the-Sea Rotary.

Don Eastman
- President
Don and his wife Pinky moved to the Forest in March of 2000 and are delighted with the strong sense of community here and desire to contribute their time and experience where needed. Don graduated from the UCLA School of Law in 1965 and went on to a stellar career with the Los Angeles County District Attorney as a trial lawyer and later as Head Deputy of many divisions throughout his 34 years of service.
After moving to the Forest he served as Deputy District Attorney for Monterey County in 2000 until his retirement in 2002. He has served for 20 years on a condominium Board of Directors in Mammoth, California. Don offers the Board extensive insight on the workings of California government at State, county and local levels.
Don and Pinky travel to the Pacific Northwest (Portland and Seattle) as well as making frequent trips to Southern California to visit family and friends. They participate in local activities with the Pebble Beach Riding and Trails Association and DMFPO.

Jeff Fuller

Although owning their home in Pebble Beach for more than a decade, Jeff Fuller and his wife Andrea Lewis just became
full-time residents last year after Jeff's retirement as General Counsel for the Association of California Insurance
Companies, an industry trade group headquartered in Sacramento, and Andrea's retirement as Assistant Secretary
for Education and Quality Programs at CalEPA. Jeff is currently working part-time as a pro tem Administrative
Law Judge for the State of California and Andrea is Executive Director of MEarth -- a nonprofit organization that
oversees the environmental education center serving students and teachers from across Monterey County at the 10-acre
Hilton Bialek Habitat in Carmel.
John F. "Jack" McKenna
- Member of the Board of Directors
Jack and his wife moved to Pebble Beach in 2010. Prior to that they had lived for thirty-three years in Northern California -- Chico area. Prior to Chico they had lived and grown up in San Diego (Point Loma).
He completed an undergraduate degree in business at Whittier College in the Late 1960's and entered the Naval Reserve upon graduation. In the Navy, he taught a course in Naval Management Analysis for senior enlisted and junior officers. After his military service, he finished an MBA from San Diego State University and ultimately received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Irvine in business. He then took a teaching job at California State University, Chico in the College of Business where he taught graduate courses and was an Associate Dean and Director of Graduate Programs. He and his wife both retired from the University in 2000.
Jack and his wife are very pleased to be able to live in the "Forest" and he is looking forward to having an opportunity to learn more about the area and the challenges facing it.

Bob Hutchison

Born and raised in Plainfield, New Jersey. Graduated BS in Aeronautical Engineering from University of Michigan 1955. Ltjg Navy on Destroyer Escort 1956-57. Started with General Motors Research Laboratories as a research engineer in 1958 and retired General Director of Production Control and Scheduling North American Operations in 1992. President of Detroit Golf Club Property Owners Association from 1994-2000
Together my wife Mary Ellen and I built a home in Pebble Beach in 1997, and have been a member of MPCC since 1992. We have six children; seven grandchildren.

Monica Nathan

My husband and I are retired soldiers, and have owned our home in the Forest since 1990. We became full-time residents in 1993.
I am a New Englander by birth and background; I grew up in Connecticut and, have a BSN from Saint Anselm College in Manchester NH. I joined the Army in 1974, became an operating room nurse and served in that clinical specialty throughout my career. I earned a graduate degree in education from USC, and had 2 assignments as an educator.
Since retiring from the military, I have worked at an outpatient surgery center as the quality assurance coordinator, and recently joined an on-line company to write and edit continuing medical education.
I am a CERT team member and trainer, a medical volunteer at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, and belong to several sports car clubs in the area.
I served on the Traffic and Safety Committee before becoming a member of the DMFPO Board. My intent in both positions is to maintain a high standard for both safety and quality of life in my community.

Averil Nero

My husband and I have been property owners in the Del Monte Forest since 1984 and became permanent residents in l998. I was born, raised and educated in the United Kingdom, receiving a degree from the University of Birmingham in Sociology and Economics.
My career field was in Human Resources. Since moving to this area I have been an enthusiastic member of the Pebble Beach Riding & Trails Association having served as Treasurer and then as President. At the present time I am also Treasurer of the Peninsula Dance Quadrille.
In common with other Board Members of the Del Monte Forest Property Owners, I feel very fortunate to call Pebble Beach home. It will be my privilege to serve the community, to help preserve its unique character and to assist in solving problems in a satisfactory and harmonious way.

Ned Van Roekel
- Treasurer
My wife and I moved to Pebble Beach in the fall of 2003. We had previously lived in Indiana, Michigan, and Minnesota. After serving as a Prosthodontist on the staff of the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota for more than 24 years the opportunity to open a private practice in Monterey presented itself. We sold both our snow blowers and moved west.
Professionally I have served on the faculty of the Indiana University School of Dentistry and the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. My extracurricular activities include serving as the President of the American college of Prosthodontists, The American Academy of Restorative Dentistry, section editor of the International Journal of Prosthodontics, and as a reviewer for several other prosthodontic publications.
I look forward to serving as treasurer for the Del Monte Forest Property Owners. My wife and I thoroughly enjoy life in the forest. Participating in the activities of the homeowners association will provide the opportunity to promote and protect the ambiance of Pebble Beach.

Joella Szabo

Joella Szabo has lived in Pebble Beach for six years. She is an attorney originally from Pennsylvania.
She worked for Fenton & Keller in Monterey before taking time off to focus on her family and
help her husband with his medical practice. She works from home now and looks after their two small children.
She has been active in the Junior League and is a member of the Beach Club.

- Oversee all aspects of DMFPO business matters: maintain compliance with applicable laws and DMFPO policies.
